Helping Students Grow in Faith

The Youth Ministry at Waypoint Community Church is a place where middle school and high school students can grow in their relationship with Jesus while building meaningful friendships with one another. The teenage years are a time of important questions, new experiences, and growing independence. Our desire is to help students develop a strong foundation of faith, learn how to follow Christ in everyday life, and discover that the church is a community where they truly belong.

What Youth Gatherings Are Like

Youth gatherings provide a welcoming and engaging environment where students can learn, connect, and have fun together.

Students can expect:

  • Biblical teaching that connects faith with real life
  • Small group discussions where questions are welcomed
  • Encouragement from caring leaders and mentors
  • Games, activities, and opportunities to build friendships

These gatherings help students develop a faith that is personal, thoughtful, and lasting.

Special Events & Experiences

Throughout the year, students have opportunities to grow in faith and build friendships through special events and activities.

These may include:

  • Youth retreats at Berea Ministry Camps, where students step away from everyday routines to grow spiritually, worship together, and build lasting friendships
  • Outings and activities that encourage connection and fun within the youth community
  • Service opportunities that help students learn to live out their faith

These experiences often become some of the most meaningful moments in a student’s spiritual journey.

Serving Younger Students

Youth also have opportunities to serve and grow in leadership within the church. One of the highlights each year is Vacation Bible School (VBS), where many students help support younger children through activities, games, and learning about God’s love.

Serving in VBS helps students grow in confidence, responsibility, and a heart for serving others.

A Place to Belong

Youth Ministry is more than just a program—it’s a community where students can build friendships, grow in faith, and discover their identity in Christ.

Our leaders care deeply about students and seek to create a safe, encouraging environment where every young person is valued and supported.
